SAVE THIS OWNER'S MANUAL AND READ BEFORE EACH USE.
Model PC-6: This manual will explain how to use the converter safely and effectively.
Please read and follow these instructions and precautions carefully. This manual also
contains important safety and operating instructions for AC-DC Converter.
CAUTIONS:
• For Indoor use only. Do not expose
converter to rain or snow.
• Do not open unit; risk of electrical shock.
• The 12 volt socket is wired so the center
conductor is positive (+) and the outer sleeve
is negative (-). Please confirm that the 12V
plug being used is wired the same way.
• Must use a heavy duty #18 AWG extension
cord – 50 foot maximum length.
• Do not put fingers into 12V receptacle.
• To insure proper ventilation, always rest
unit on its base.
• Unit gets hot - do not set converter on
flammable materials like carpeting,
upholstery, paper, cardboard, etc.
• To reduce risk of electrical shock, unplug
the converter from the 120V AC electrical
outlet before attempting any maintenance
or cleaning.
• Do not operate the converter if it has a
damaged power cord or plug. Have the
cord replaced.
• Never pull out the plug by its cord when
unplugging the converter. Pulling on the cord
may cause damage to the cord and/or plug.
• Never operate converter if it has been
dropped or otherwise damaged. Take it
to a qualified professional for inspection
and repair.
• Do not disassemble converter. Take it to
a qualified service professional if service
or repair is required. Incorrect assembly
may result in fire or electrical shock.
Using your AC to DC Converter:
• Plug converter into a 120V AC outlet. The
Green "Power ON" LED will illuminate
when properly functioning.
• Insert 12V accessory plug into converter's
socket (maximum 6 Amps or 72 Watts).
Disconnecting your AC to DC
Converter:
• Remove the 12V plug from the converter.
• Disconnect converter from the 120V AC
outlet.
• Let converter completely cool before
storing.

Troubleshooting

Check items below if appliance is not
functioning:
• Confirm converter's green light is ON. If
not, confirm the AC outlet is live. If AC
outlet has no power, check wall switches,
breakers and fuses.
• If green light is On and appliance is not
functioning:
1. Remove and re-insert the appliance's
12V plug into the converter's 12V
socket to ensure good connection.
2. Verify appliance is functioning by
plugging into a vehicle's 12V cigarette
lighter socket/12V accessory port.
3. Check appliance fuse (either in 12V
plug or in appliance).
• If green light is on, but goes out when
appliance is plugged in; the converter
is over-loaded. Check the appliance's
power consumption requirements.
• If unable to resolve issue, do not return
to store. Call Customer Ser vice at:
1-800-621-5485.

Maintenance and Care

1. Coil the input cord neatly when storing
the converter. This will help prevent
accidental damage to the cords and
converter.
2. Occasionally cleaning the converter's
case with a soft cloth will keep the finish
shiny and help prevent corrosion.
3. Store the converter in a clean and dry
location.
NOTE: This device complies with Part 15 of
the FCC Rules and Canadian Specification
ICES-003. Operation is subject to the
following two conditions: (1) this device
may not cause harmful interference, and
(2) this device must accept any interference
received, including interference that may
cause undesired operation. If this equipment
does cause harmful interference to radio
or television reception, which can be
