b) Changing the crystal
There must be no other transmitters/models using the same frequency in the range of the remote control, as they
interfere with each other. As a result, the models no longer respond properly to the remote commands. If there are
other model vehicles in your range, talk to the other operators about the frequencies they use.
For reasons of operational safety, you should only use crystals that are explicitly recommended for the use
of your remote control system by the supplier.
• Before changing a crystal, first turn off the vehicle and then the remote control.
• Pull the holder of the transmitter crystal out of the transmitter casing (see figure 1, pos. 6).
• Take the transmitter crystal out of its plastic holder. Insert the replacement crystal with a different channel in the
same frequency band.
Please make sure that you place the right crystal in the holder. Transmitter crystals are normally marked with the
letter T or TX (T = "transmitter").
• Put the crystal holder back into the remote control.
• Pull the receiver quartz out of the vehicle's receiver when the drive accumulator is disconnected.
• The suitable replacement crystal for the receiver has to be marked with the same channel name as the transmitter
crystal. In addition it has the letter code R or RX (R = receiver) on it.
• Insert the replacement crystal with the suitable frequency for the remote control into the receiver.
• Switch on the remote control followed by the receiver and check the function and the range of the drive control and
the steering system.

c) Belt Tension

The belt tension should be regularly checked and corrected
if necessary.
The used tooth belt must not run too tight; it must not be
adjusted too tight! This leads to higher current consumption,
which does not only reduce the travel time, but also overloads
the electric motor. The electric motor will be overheated and
destroyed after some time!
On the other hand, a tooth belt that is too loose will slip
through; this will damage the tooth belt.
Adjust the belt tension so that you can extrude the tooth
belt approx. 4-5 mm without much effort.
Loosen the screw (see arrow in the picture) slightly, so that it can be moved. You may also need a hexagon key, to fix
the screw nut between the tension pulley and the aluminium mounting, so that the screw can be tightened.
