tighten the thumbscrew to secure the connection.
3. Turn the radio on and adjust audio volume to a
comfortable listening level.
Receiving
When the headset is connected to the radio accessory
connector, the radio's speaker is muted, and the audio is
only heard from the headset speaker.
Transmitting
When using the RMN5058 Lightweight Headset (with
in-line PTT), push the PTT switch on the cable to transmit.
Note: The RMN5058 is compatible with the Internal VOX
option in the radio, if the radio is VOX equipped.
Removing the Headset
Turn the radio off before removing the headset from the
radio side connector. Remember to reattach the radio side
connector cover when an accessory is not being used.
SERVICE
Other than replacing the Foam Earpad and Microphone
Cover (Motorola part number RLN6283), the RMN5058
Lightweight Headset cannot be repaired. Order
replacement headsets as required.
