3.0 System Memory Requirements
The Model CL57 SX has a minimum of 2MB of memory installed on the system
board at the time of shipment.
installing one or two 2MB, 4MB, or 8MB IC DRAM cards into the slots
located on right side of the system.

Note:
Customer diagnostics is capable of logically eliminating defective
memory so that no memory error code appears at power-on reset.
After replacing a defective memory module on the system board, or whenever
an IC DRAM card is added or removed from the system, run the Automatic
configuration to store the new system configuration.
