    SUBDRIVE50 CONNECT FAN REPLACEMENT INSTALL GUIDE WARNING REMOVE ALL INCOMING ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE DRIVE. THIS IS A NON-POWERED ELECTRIC PROCEDURE. PURPOSE The SubDrive50 Fan Replacement Kit provides repairability to drives in which the existing fan has been damaged, failed, or is otherwise inoperable.
  • Page 4 SUBDRIVE50 CONNECT FAN REPLACEMENT INSTALL GUIDE STEP 3: Disconnect the power connection from the main board. STEP 4: Remove the fan from the enclosure. STEP 5: Locate the airflow indication arrow on the side of the fan. Position the fan so that the air is directed into the enclosure.
  • Page 5 SUBDRIVE50 CONNECT FAN REPLACEMENT INSTALL GUIDE STEP 6: Install the replacement fan into the enclosure. STEP 7: While holding the fan in place with one hand, secure it to the enclosure using the four screws. Torque the screws to 9 in-lbs.
