Before proceeding, please take a moment to read, understand and follow the safety warnings listed above and on the
S T O P !
proceeding page.
1. Connect the cable from the instrument to the HI LEVEL (low gain) input.
2. Connect the cable from the tone cabinet(s) to the appropriate tone cabinet outlet(s). See compatibility chart above!
3. Plug the UC-1A into a grounded (3 prong) outlet or properly grounded adaptor.
4. Set the volume and tone controls to about mid position. (The volume control on the tone cabinet should be set to about
3/4 or higher).
5. Push the power switch. The pilot light nearest the switch will light and the tone cabinet(s) will power up.
6. Push the tremolo switch (located in the middle of the sloping panel). The tremolo indicator light will light and the
rotor(s) in the tone cabinet(s) will spin at the tremolo speed.
7. Set the controls on the instrument for the loudest expected output.
8. Raise the UC-1A level control until distortion is heard, then back off slightly. If the instrument level is insufficient to do
this, move the input cable to the LO LEVEL (high gain) input and repeat Step 8.
NOTE: For multiple tone cabinet installations, follow Step 8 with only 1 tone cabinet connected and then repeat for each
additional cabinet. If necessary, balance cabinets by reducing the level of the louder cabinet(s).
9. Adjust tone control to preference.
