    Using the Smart Auto mode In this mode, your camera automatically chooses the appropriate camera settings based on a detected type of scene. The Smart Auto mode will be helpful if you are not familiar with the camera settings for various scenes. Rotate the mode dial to Align your subject in the frame.

You can adjust the aperture value to control how much light reaches the lens when you capture a photo.

    Recording a video Record videos of up to 20 minutes in length. The recorded video is saved as an H.264 (MPEG-4.AVC) file. H.264 (MPEG-4 part10/AVC) is a high-compression video format established by international standard organizations ISO/IEC and ITU-T. Some memory cards may not support high definition recording. In this case, set a lower resolution. (p. 47) When the Optical Image Stabilization is activated, your video may be recorded with the OIS operation sound.

    Playing back Learn actions to play back photos, videos, or voice memos, and manage files. Starting Playback mode View photos or play videos and voice memos stored in your camera. Press [ The most recent file you have taken or recorded is displayed. If the camera is off, it turns on.
