ASSEMBLING ENGINE BLOCK
(7) Adjust the valve clearance by following the procedure described below:
1. Align the two positioning mark of Flywheel with the edge of Crankcase as shown in Fig. 76.
2. Align the positioning mark of Camgear assembly with that of Cylinder block as shown in Fig. 77.
3. Mount two Cam lifters and two Push rods in place, then mount Rocker arm assembly onto each Push rod.
Note: Make sure that one end of Push rod is firmly held in the hole of Cam lifter and the other end also firmly
in the hole of Rocker arm assembly.
4. Loosen Adjusting screw of Rocker arm assembly. Insert 0.1mm feeler gauge of 1R366 under Valve of
Rocker arm assembly, then adjust the valve clearance. (Fig. 78)
5. After adjustment, tighten M5 Nut of Rocker arm assembly, then remove the feeler gauge.
