Troubleshooting Guide

Before contacting the service center, check the following. It will save your time and the
expense of an unnecessary call.
The air conditioner does not
operate.
The air conditioner does not
operate with the remote control.
No beep is heard when you press
the (On/Off) button on the
remote control.
The air conditioner does not cool
or heat.
When heating, the required room
temperature is never reached and
the air conditioner frequently stops.
The fan speed does not change
when you press the
The airflow direction does not
change when you press the

The timer is not correctly triggered.
Odor permeates into the
room during operation.

Problem
N Check if the circuit breaker of the air conditioner is switched on.
N Check if the air conditioner is turned on. If necessary, press the
N Check if the Timer indicator on the indoor unit is on.
If so:
- Wait until the set time is reached and the air conditioner starts
- Cancel the Timer. (See pages 20 and 21 for further details)
N Check if there are no obstacles in front of the indoor unit.
N Check the remote control batteries.
N Make sure that you are within 7 meters from the indoor unit.
N Check if you are pointing the remote control at the remote control
sensor on the right side of the indoor unit.
N Replace the remote control batteries if necessary.
N Check if the correct operating mode has been selected
(Auto, Cool, Heat).
N The room temperature may be too low or too high.
N Check if the air filter is dirty; refer to page 27 for cleaning instructions.
N Check that there is no obstacle in front of the outdoor unit.
N Check if the required temperature is set correctly.
N Increase the fan speed.
N If the airflow is directed upwards, set the blade downwards with the
remote control.
N Check if the mode is set to the Cool, Heat or Fan mode;
button.

N Check if the air conditioner has been turned on; if necessary, press
