WORKING WITH CARTRIDGE CASES • Examine empty cases to be sure they are in good condition before reloading. Thin, split, deformed, or badly corroded or pitted cases may be structurally weak, and result in a dangerous condition.

    PREPARATION Lower Press Handle and raise Ram to approximately mid stroke. Use the Lock Pin that came with your Pro Chucker Press in a vertical orientation, to prop up the Shell Plate Holder Assembly. This allows better access to perform the next function. PHOTO 1 Using a 3/32”...

  • Page 13 Using Part bag #3, install the three 8-32x1/4” set screws into the Bracket so that the “head” of the setscrew is flush with the top of the Bracket. Attach the Case Feed Bracket to the Case Feed Housing. Place the bottom Bushing into the Housing and secure with the two 10-32x1/4”...
  • Page 14 assembly into the Box Slider and lightly tighten the setscrew. Place lube (light oil or grease) into the bottom channels of the Box Slider and slide onto the Box Rail. Manually slide this assembly front and back a few times. Remove this assembly and wipe off the excess lubricant from the top surface of the Box Rail.
  • Page 15 Using Bag #7, slide the Adjustment Ring onto the Housing and secure with two 8/32-1/4” setscrews. Tighten the setscrews so that the Adjustment Ring can be slid up and down with moderate finger pressure. Install the Top Stop Pin Assembly into the Adjustment Ring. Placement of the Adjustment Ring is covered under ADJUSTMENT section 4, adjustment of the Top Stop Pin is ADJUSTMENT section 6.

    OPERATION The Pro Chucker Tube Case Feeder is designed to feed straight wall and bottleneck cases into your Pro Chucker 5 or Pro Chucker 7 progressive press. Roughly 80% of the cases that can be loaded on the Pro Chucker will be accommodated by this unit.
  • Page 17 To use the Large Feed Tube Leave the Medium Bottom Bushing in the Housing. Place the Large Top Bushing into the Housing and insert the Feed Tube. NOTE: The long vertical slot in the Feed Tube must face the Cam (left). Thread in the Top Stop Pin and adjust as necessary.

    CASE FIT REFERENCE Small Tube Cartridges that fit into Shell plate: 12, 17 or 45 Medium Tube Cartridges that fit into Shell Plate: 3, 6, 10, 11, 13, 16, 19, 23, 27, 32 or 39 Large Tube Cartridges that fit into Shell Plate: 2, 4, 14, 18, 30, 35, 38, 43, 44, 48 or 49 TROUBLESHOOTING It is necessary for your Pro Chucker to be mounted to a sturdy reloading bench.
