4. Use the Volume+/- buttons to scroll up/down to 'wipe data/factory reset' and the
ON/OFF button to validate the chosen action. This will erase all your files, settings and
-
applications.
5. Please note, if you have set a password and registered a Google account on your tablet
this will have activated Google's 'Device Protection' feature. This powerful security feature
prevents your device being used without it being signed into your Google account, even
if it has been reset to factory settings. If you want to pass the tablet to another user or sell
it on, you need to disable this feature by removing your Google account before you reset
your tablet to factory defaults.
Charging issues
The most common casue of charging issues on tablets is damage to the USB lead
and and USB socket. This is commonly caused by the user charging the tablet while
using it and then forgetting it's plugged in and pulling the tabelt against the lead.
To avoid such damage charge the tablet overnight rather than when in use.
If you do find your tablet won't charge try changing the USB lead. This will often fix the
issue.
