Surge protector
USER'S MANUAL
Congratulations on the purchase of TM SVEN surge protector!
Surge protector is designed for connection of electrical appliances to the electric mains
and their protection from high-voltage pulses of surge and permanent filtration of
high-frequency noises.
FEATURES OF FORT/FORT PRO SURGE PROTECTOR
• LED indication of protection serviceability (ОК) and the ground line avalability.
• Built-in voltmeter (FORT PRO model).
• Common and individual double-pole switches.
• The classic «Varistor triangle» layout suppresses high-voltage pulses, high-frequency
noises and induced pulse currents from effect of atmospheric discharges, etc.
• Automatic fuse (thermobimetallic renewable circuit-breaker) for power cut on over-
loads and short circuits.
• Non-flammable shockproof ABS-plastic case provides high fire safety level.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Do not connect the surge protector to power mains with overrating voltage.
• Do not connect simultaneously the load to the surge protector with total power more than
2200 W.
• Do not install in places with possible ingress of liquid, moisture, dust and high tempe-
rature exposure.
• Do not open and do not make any repairs by yourself.
• It is recommended to connect the surge protector to the grounded power mains.
CONNECTION
1. Connect consumer devices to surge protector sockets.
2. Connect the surge protector to 220 V power mains, turn the main switch on.
3. The red LED voltage indicator (emergency protection serviceability) and the green indi-
cator of the ground line availability will light.
4. Turn on required loading with an individual switch.
5. Every switch has «on» position lighting.
OPERATION
1. Do not overload the surge protector with connection of several powerful devices.
2. On operation of automatic fuse at overload trip, restart the surge protector in 5-10
minutes after the total connected load decrease. For restarting push «On» button on the
fuse.
3. When high-voltage pulses or excess voltage arise on the surge protector input, the
built-in emergency protection can disconnect the surge protector entirely (red LED
indicator will go out). The surge protector use after partial or complete loss of resource
by filter components is prohibited.
