    INSTALLATION INSTALLATION Hard Foam Shims (For Some Installations) To determine whether you need to install the hard foam shims, place the panel assembly in the bottom sash channel and slide it until it sits tightly against the exterior side of the channel. Close the sash until it holds the panel assembly in place.
