Locating Pin 1 on your CPU and ZIF Socket

All Pentium III and Celeron FC-PGA CPUs use a small orange triangle to indicate the
location of pin 1. On the corner to the right of pin 1 is an orange dot. On the PPGA
Celeron, pin 1 is indicated by an indented corner. Pin 1 corners are used to properly
align the joining of the CPU to the ZIF socket
.

Determining CPU Performance

To compare the performance increase provided by the PL-III, we suggest running the
®
PowerLeap CPU Control Panel
both before and after installation. If you are
uncertain about the speed of your existing CPU, you can determine the speed by
®
running the PowerLeap CPU Control Panel
. The CPU Control Panel
is included
with your PL-iP3 and is also available free for downloading from the PowerLeap
website (http://www.powerleap.com).
