5.0 Maintenance information

m The unit must be fully isolated from the mains power supply and secured
against being switched on again before all cleaning and maintenance work!
Servicing and maintenance work must be carried out in accordance with appli-
cable standards and guidelines and the regulations of the respective country!
Helios stipulates the following:
– Servicing and inspection work must be carried out regularly and only by trained
specialist personnel (electricians).
– Functional and visual inspections must be carried out at least once annually in
accordance with the maintenance instructions and according to the following criteria:
1. Visual inspection of mounting
2. Visual inspection of signal generator (damage and contamination)
3. Visual inspection of signal generator labelling
If the annual inspection results in a faultless evaluation of functionality, the units can
remain in service.
Signal generators which are clearly heavily contaminated or mechanically damaged
must be immediately replaced.
Earlier replacement or servicing and maintenance may be necessary in particu-
larly dusty environments!
