drive the car a minimum of five miles. This
mixes the added water into the electrolyte
and will prevent it from freezing and
damaging the battery.
Have the battery charge checked regu¬
larly during extremely cold weather. Make
sure the cable ends are clean and attaching
screws properly tightened to the battery
terminals.
For full wattage requirements, a Delco
Battery with flame arrestor vent caps is re¬
commended at replacement time.

Windshield Washer
Solvent
Use GM Optikleen windshield washer
solvent to prevent freezing and for better
cleaning of the windshield.
NOTE: Follow the directions on the label
for correct mixture, otherwise paint damage
may result. Do not mix other windshield
washer solvents with Optikleen as they may
not be compatible.
Tires
NOTE: Additional owner information about
your steel belted radial tires is contained in
the special tire "Owner's Guide and
Guarantee Booklet".
The factory installed tires on your car as
shown in the Tire Usage chart, Fig. 5-7, are
designed to provide the best all-around per¬
formance for normal vehicle operation. All
tires are steel belted whitewall radials.
When inflated as recommended on the tire
pressure placard, located on glove com¬
partment door of your vehicle, they have
the load carrying capacity to operate satis¬
factorily at all normal highway speeds.
Inflation Pressure — The tire inflation
pressures listed on the tire placard, Fig. 5-8,
have been selected to provide the best tire
life, riding comfort and handling stability for
normal driving conditions. When inflated at
the highest pressures shown on the placard,
the tires have the load carrying capacity to
operate satisfactorily at all loads up to and
including the vehicle capacity load (total
pounds) which also is shown on the r—i
