switches are inoperative (ignition switch
in RUN position).
Limousine Partition Glass—Individual con¬
trols are mounted with the rear door window
switches, Fig. 1-11. These switches remain
operative when the window lock-out switch is
in the "LOCK" position.
Rear View Mirrors
INSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR
To raise or lower mirror to achieve desired
field of view, grasp mirror and exert sufficient
pressure by pushing or pulling up, down, or
sideways. Fig. 1-12:
Switch mirror to night position to reduce
glare from following headlights.

REMOTE CONTROL OUTSIDE REAR VIEW
MIRROR
Your Cadillac is equipped with a remote-
control outside rear view mirror on the driver's
side of the car. Movement of the control knob
inside the car, on the left front door armrest,
allows you to adjust the mirror to suit your
requirements. Fig. 1-13.
The remote control for the right-hand out¬
side rear view mirror (if your car is so equip¬
ped) is located below the instrument panel
center air outlet, to the right of the speedome¬
ter.
Move the control knob with the thumb (as

shown) or fingers to adjust the right-hand mir¬
ror.
NOTE: Scraping ice from the mirror face
could cause permanent damage. For removal
of ice, use a de-icer (spray type, blower type,
etc.).
Head Restraints
• Head restraints are designed to help re¬
duce injuries due to "whiplash."
