Timer function
General
• Alarm with FM radio: Make sure to set the station to be
used for the alarm.
• Alarm with CD, USB or CARD modes: Make sure to insert
a CD or to connect the desired storage medium. If no CD
is inserted or no storage medium is connected, the alarm
will automatically sound with the radio station listened to
last.
• Once the pre-set alarm time has been reached, the
device will activate the selected mode. " " will flash
on the display. The volume will gradually increase to the
selected volume setting.
Setting the timer
Use this function for the device to switch off and on at a
specific time. Proceed as follows:
1. Use the I/ button (22) to switch the device to standby.
2. Press and hold the LIGHT/TIMER button (16) for approx.
3 seconds. " " appears in the display and "ON TIMER"
appears as scrolling text. After that, the hours of the set
alarm time start flashing.
3. Use the /TUNE+ and /TUNE– buttons (9/17) to adjust
the settings accordingly.
4. Press the LIGHT/TIMER button to confirm. The minutes
start flashing.
5. Use the /TUNE+ and /TUNE– buttons to adjust the
settings accordingly.
6. Press the LIGHT/TIMER button to confirm.
7. Then use the VOLUME rotary control to adjust the vol-
ume to be used when switching the device on.
8. Press the LIGHT/TIMER button to confirm. Then use the
FUNCTION button to select the alarm mode: FM, CD,
USB or CARD.
9. Press the LIGHT/TIMER button to confirm. "OFF TIMER"
appears as scrolling text. Then the hours of the current
time, after which the device will switch off, start flashing.
10. Use the
/TUNE+ and /TUNE– buttons to adjust the
settings accordingly.
11. Press the LIGHT/TIMER button to confirm. The minutes
start flashing.
12. Use the
/TUNE+ and /TUNE– buttons to adjust the
settings accordingly.
13. Press the LIGHT/TIMER button to complete the settings.
The timer is set. " " and the current time appear in the
display.
Turning off the alarm
In order to deactivate the alarm until the next day prior to
reaching the preset "OFF TIMER" time, press the I/ button.
Deactivating or activating the alarm function
(in standby mode)
Briefly press the LIGHT/TIMER button. The display will show:
OFF = deactivated or ON = activated.
Delayed switch-off
Do you like to fall asleep with music?
1. Turn on the device with the desired operating mode.
2. Press the SLEEP button (11 on the remote control). The
display will show "SLP" and "90" indicating the minutes.

3. Reduce the time in increments of 10 minutes by pressing
the SLEEP button.
4. After you have set the desired time, the "
lights up.
• Selecting "SLP OFF" will deactivate the funciton.
Cleaning and Maintenance
WARNING:
Do not immerse the device in water.
• Always remove the mains plug before cleaning the
machine.
• Any marks on the surface can be wiped off with a slightly
damp cloth without any additives.
