CLEANING TOILET (if part of composting system)
1. Turn off water supply to toilet, then flush to drain water
from toilet bowl.
2. With flush ball closed, clean bowl with mild bath
cleanser.
3. Rinse and dry bowl, removing all cleanser residue.
4. Turn on water supply to toilet, then push "Add Water"
switch to add small amount of water to bowl for next
use.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
1. Water does not stay
in toilet bowl.
2. Water enters toilet
bowl but toilet does
not flush (flush ball
does not open).
3. Flush ball opens
and closes but
waste does not
leave the bowl
(no vacuum).
4. Vacuum generator
runs too frequently
between flushes.

Possible Cause
a.
Improper seal around flush ball
due to dirt or debris on flush ball
or under flush ball seal.
b.
Flush ball and/or bowl seal is
worn or damaged.
c.
Water is leaking out between
bowl and base.
d.
Cam switch/flush ball alignment
needs adjusted.
a.
Electrical failure from flush
switch to toilet.
b.
Flush switch may be defective.
c.
Loose flush ball motor wires.
d.
Defective flush ball motor.
e.
Flush ball motor drive arm
failure.
f.
Drive linkage failure.
a.
No electrical power to vacuum
pump.
b.
Blockage in toilet base
a.
Vacuum leak around bowl seal.
b.
Vacuum leak in discharge line.
c.
Defective vacuum switch.
Instructions
a.
Inspect flush ball for foreign debris. Clean flush
ball and underside of seal if needed.
b.
Replace worn or damaged component. See
owner's manual for replacement instructions.
c.
Bolts that hold toilet to base need tightened to
20-25 in.-lbs. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
d.
See toilet owner's manual for adjustment
procedure.
a.
Check for loose or defective wiring between
flush switch and toilet base terminal block.
b.
Replace if necessary.
c.
Check for loose wires from motor to terminal
block.
d.
Replace if necessary.
e.
See toilet owner's manual for replacement
instructions.
f.
See toilet owner's manual for replacement
instructions.
a.
Check power wires, fuse or circuit breaker to
vacuum pump.
b.
Turn off water to toilet. Switch toilet to "Service
Mode." Push "Flush" switch to open flush ball.
Remove blockage or push blockage through
1-inch (25 mm) diameter orifice with small
diameter blunt rod.
a.
See problem 1.
b.
Tighten discharge hose connections at toilet
outlet and vacuum generator inlet.
c.
Replace vacuum switch.
