SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

As with any domestic appliance, this juice extractor should be handled with caution. Follow the
instructions below to avoid any risk of injury.
CAUTION: The polythene bags over the product or packaging may be dangerous. To
avoid any risk of suff ocation, keep out of the reach of babies and children. These bags are
not toys.
• Handle the fi lter with great care. Avoid touching the sharp metal parts.
• Before turning on the appliance, make sure that the fi lter is fully pressed onto the motor shaft and
that the lid is properly positioned. Do not force or block the lid mechanism.
• Always use the pusher to press the food down. Never use your fi ngers or any other utensil.
• Always wait until the fi lter has stopped moving before removing the pusher or the lid.
• Turn off and unplug the appliance before cleaning, setting it up, removing the pulp container or
attaching parts that move when the appliance is operating.
• Do not use the appliance if the rotating fi lter is damaged.
• Only use this appliance with the accessories provided by Cuisinart®.
• Never immerse the housing base in water or any other liquid.
• Unplug the appliance after use, before assembling or taking apart, before removing the food
and before cleaning. Never leave the appliance unsupervised when plugged in. To unplug the
appliance, pull on the the plug never the lead.
• Never let the lead hang over the edge of the work surface and never let it come in contact with
hot surfaces.
• Do not use the appliance if the lead is damaged or if the appliance has fallen or appears damaged.
• If the power cable is damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or
a similarly qualifi ed professional to avoid danger.
• Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and older and by people whose physical,
sensory or mental capacities are reduced or by persons who lack experience or knowledge if they
are supervised or have been instructed on the safe use of the appliance and if they understand
the risks involved. Children must not play with the unit. Children may not clean or maintain the
unit unless supervised.
