Safety warning

TEMPUR ® Bed Bases meet requirements and specifi cations of
DIN EN 1725. As specifi ed the bed base should be used as a
foundation in conjunction with a standard mattress. With normal
use (lying, sleeping, sitting) a maximum strain of 120kg over the
entire bed surface is possible without any restriction.
Under certain conditions, it is possible to expose the bed to a
higher strain as long as its intended purpose is taken into
consideration. Please note that the manufacturer cannot take
any responsibility for incorrect use and capacity overload.
Please note:
When adjusting the position of the base, take care that
your fi ngers do not get caught in the mechanism.
Make sure that the base fi ts properly into your bedstead.
If not, fi x legs (available as optional extras) to the base.
To prevent distortion of fi ttings, the TEMPUR ® Bed Base
must be placed on an even fl oor.
To prevent damage to parts, make sure that all the fi ttings
are properly slotted into place.
Sitting on either the foot end or head end in the raised
position can cause strain and damage to parts.
Make sure to keep yourself and others clear of the shearing
points when adjusting the position of the base. Do not allow
children to adjust the position! Otherwise there is a risk of
crushing injury.
Ensure that nothing hinders or obstructs the adjusting
mechanism or motors.
Small articles can be swallowed by children, which can lead
to injuries as well as danger of life. Therefore, these articles
must be kept away of children.
Mounting the TEMPUR ® Bed Base
When placing the bed base in the bedstead, make sure
that it is fi rmly supported by at least four fastening points.
If you are going to use the bed base on its own, without
a bedstead, make sure that the legs are on an even
surface and securely mounted.
In the case of an adjustable base, remove the cable clips
before use. Make absolutely sure that all the clips have
been removed before using the base for the fi rst time,
as failure to do so could damage the motors or the base
itself.
If the remote control is not used for lengthy periods, remove
the batteries to prevent damage from leakage.
We recommend the installation of optional support legs on
oversize bases from 120 cm width.
The TEMPUR ® Bed Base complies with DIN EN 1725
(Beds & Mattresses: Safety Standards & Test Methods) as
well as LGA (Bavarian Trade Institute) standards.
Adjusting the position of the bed base
Manually adjustable models are adjusted by pulling the loop
upwards. To lower, pull the adjustable parts up as far as they will
go, then slowly lower them again. For mechanically adjustable
models, press the switch. Take note of the safety instructions
above when adjusting the position of the base.
Individual fi rmness adjustment
The plates are preinstalled and settings may be adjusted by a
simple turning motion of the inner ring.
