Das
Relais 5551 kann für den Bau von verschiedenen Schaltungen verwen-
det werden. Die 4 Umschaltkontakte werden durch Spannungsimpulse (Siehe Belegung
der Anschlußbuchsen, Abbildung 1) alle gleichzeitig umgeschaltet. Sie sind untereinan-
der elektrisch getrennt. Die einzelnen Umschaltkontakte können also verschiedene Auf-
gaben erfüllen. Das Relais 5551 kann zwecks Funktionskontrolle oder bei Kontaktpro-
blemen von außen betätigt werden. Für diesen Zweck ist in der Mitte des Gehäusedek-
kels ein Schalter vorgesehen (siehe Abbildung 2).
Während der Betätigung von Hand sollte keine elektrische Ansteuerung von außen er-
folgen, d.h. die Steuereingänge sollten während der Handbetätigung stromlos sein.
Wenn das Relais über Reedkontakte angesteuert werden soll, ist darauf zu achten, daß
die Impulszeiten genügend lang sind. Daher sollten längliche, in Fahrtrichtung montier-
te Schaltmagnete verwendet werden. Aufgrund der induktiven Belastung der Reedkon-
takte sollten diese ausreichend groß sein (ca. 0,5 A oder mehr).
Das Relais besitzt eine echte Endabschaltung mit Endabschaltungskontakt. Dieser Kon-
takt kann zur Stellungsrückmeldung an ein rückmeldefähiges Stellpult (z.B.
5549) herangezogen werden.
The Universal Relay
5551 is useful for different circuits. The four contacts are
switched simultaneously by one voltage pulse (see at the connecting diagram of the
wires, figure 1). The contacts are electrically separated. Each contacts can be used for
different functions. If you want to test the function or in case of any contact problems, the
electronic relay can be also switched externally by the switch on the top placed in the
middle of the box (see figure 2).
Make sure that the power supply is off when you switch tehe relay manually.
If the relay is controlled by a reed contact you must be sure that the impulse time must be
sufficient. Long magnets in route direction have to be applied. Take care that the inductive
load must be big enough (approx. 0.5 A or more).
The relay has got an end position circuit breaker. You can use it to get a real feedback with
a feedback switch like the 5549 from

Die Stromquellen müssen so abgesichert sein, daß es im Falle eines Kurz-
schlusses nicht zum Kabelbrand kommen kann. Verwenden Sie nur
handelsübliche und VDE-geprüfte Modellbahntransformatoren!

welche dem Baustein beiliegen.
