1. Switch the appliance off and observe the instructions
under ZChapter 3.2, "Switching off and retracting the
power cable".
2. Open the hygienic exhaust filter cover (Fig. 27/1). To do
this, press the release button (Fig. 27/2) down and pull
the hygienic exhaust filter cover back and out.
3. Remove the hygienic exhaust filter (Fig. 28).
4. Tap the dirt out of the hygienic exhaust filter over a
dustbin for a rough cleaning.
5. Should this be insufficient, remove the dirt from the filter
with a soft brush, e.g. the furniture brush supplied with
the appliance.
6. If such dry cleaning is insufficient, thoroughly rinse the
filter by hand in running clear cold or hand-warm water.
ATTENTION:
The filter is washable, but it may not be cleaned in
dishwashers or washing-machines. Also, do not use
detergents or brushes with hard bristles to clean the
filters. Let the filter dry for approx 24 hours at room
temperature after washing it. Only put it back in place
when it is completely dry.
7. If the filter is damaged or deformed, replace it (ordering
information ZChapter 6.1, "Accessories and Spare
Parts").
8. Put the new / cleaned and completely dry exhaust filter
back into its receptacle (Fig. 29).
9. Then put the hygienic exhaust filter cover (Fig. 30/1)
back into place. First hook this in on the bottom side and
then press it up and forwards until you hear and feel it
click shut.
ATTENTION:
Clean the outside of the housing using a slightly damp
cloth only. Do not use cleansing or scouring agents or
alcohol, as these might damage the appliance.
