Before you begin setup, you should be close to your router and have both your network information
(including password) and scale nearby.

Go to
www.fitbit.com/start
setup. Then download the latest Aria installer software for your OS (Operating System).

Open the file and follow on-screen instructions.
You may be prompted to allow the Fitbit client software to make changes to your computer.
Click "Yes" to proceed.
If using Windows, the file will be in .zip format. After opening the .zip file, open the file titled
"Fitbit Wi-Fi Scale Setup."

Using a Smartphone or Wi-Fi Enabled Tablet You can use your smartphone or tablet with an active Wi-Fi network to set up your scale. This method is recommended for people who are unable to use the downloadable setup client.

    Using your Fitbit Aria Scale How it Works The Aria will measure your weight and % body fat. Your BMI is calculated and viewable on your Fitbit.com account and in the mobile apps. Weight data is uploaded through your chosen network to your account on Fitbit.com.

Use of Aria on carpet is not recommended and may result in inaccurate measurements. To properly measure % body fat, you must be barefoot and balanced evenly between both sides of the scale.
