The total power draw of one SSP218 amplifier module is 15A. Only one SSP218 should be connected to a 20A circuit. The typical power draw of one SSP218 amplifier module is 5A. With heavy demand, the current draw can peak at 20A for brief periods but under NEMA code, a 20A breaker should sustain a peak draw of 40A for several seconds without tripping. -
