Symptom
Product is powered but it does
not light up

No Ilumicode connected
No DMX controller connected
Static mode not configured

If using clips, wrong connection

Excessive circuit load
Short circuit along the power wires
No power
Loose or damaged power cord
Faulty internal power supply
Wrong DMX addressing
Damaged DMX cables
Wrong polarity on the controller
Loose DMX cables
Faulty DMX interface

Bouncing signals
Long cable / low level signal

Technical Information
Action(s)
Connect Ilumicode to product. Product
should light up during programming, but it
will shut off after the timer kicks in.
Connect DMX controller and set faders to
increase light output
Configure the Static mode to leave the
product running stand-alone. Product should
stay on after configuring STATIC mode.
Install two AA dry cells in the correct
position
Change both AA dry cells
Replace Ilumicode
See DMX Signal Problems below
Connect clips as per manual
Replace product
Replace Ilumicode
Check total load placed on the electrical
circuit
Check for a short in the electrical wiring
Check for power on power outlet
Check power cord
Replace internal power supply
Check Control Panel and unit addressing
Check DMX cables
Check polarity switch settings on the
controller
Check cable connections
Replace the DMX board
Use only DMX compatible cables
Install terminator as suggested
Install an optically coupled DMX splitter
right after the product with the strong signal
Install an optically coupled DMX splitter
after unit #32 or before
Keep DMX cables separated from power
cables or fluorescent/black lights
Make sure that the buried conduit and
connection boxes are dry. If not using
conduit, make sure that you are using cable
approved for exterior or underground
installation.
