Installation
• Read the manual thoroughly before operating the device!
• Choose a suitable location for the device. Suitable loca-
tions are dry, even and antislip surfaces on which you may
operate the device easily.
• Make sure there is proper ventilation for the device!
• Remove, if necessary, the protection sheet from the display.
• If necessary, screw the flexible antenna onto the correct
connection.
Power supply (Adaptor)
• Insert the grid plug into a properly installed three prong
socket.
• Open the rubber cover. Connect the device with the plug
connector by inserting its plug into the DC 9 V jack of the
device.
• Make sure the grid voltage corresponds to the figures on
the rating plate.
Keep the cover closed when not in use.
CAUTION:
• Only use the supplied power adaptor for this device. Do
not use for other devices.
• Only use power adaptor with 9 V (
adaptors may cause damage to the device.
NOTE:
Disconnect from mains power supply during longer periods of
non-use.
Charge the installed battery
Before you can operate the unit with the installed battery, you
must first charge it.
1. Open the rubber cover.
2. Connect the unit to a socket with the mains adapter. The
indicator light below the DC socket lights up red and the
battery is charged.
When the battery is fully charged, the indicator light goes out.
Keep the cover closed when not in use.
CAUTION:
Never leave the unit unattended during charging.
NOTE:
• The duration of the charging process depends on the
state of charge of the battery.
• When the unit is out of use for long periods of time,
charge the battery at least every 6 to 12 weeks. The bat-
tery also constantly discharges when the unit is switched
off.
• If the battery is almost empty, the unit will switch off. The
battery must then be charged as described above.
Turning the device on/ off
Press the
button (4), to turn the device on and off.
HINWEIS:
Press and hold the button for approx. 1 second in order to
switch the unit to the extended standby mode. In this mode
the time will not be shown in the display.
In order to switch the unit on again, again press and hold the
button for approx. 1 second. The time will be displayed.
Now you can switch the unit on by briefly pressing the bu-
tton.

Delayed shut-off (SLEEP)
The device automatically switches off when the selected time is
reached.

indicator will appear in the display.
• Deactivating: The "OFF" setting deactivates this function.
