  • Page 10: Principles Of Operation

Model AR-C/D Pour Gun The Heated Hose hydraulic fittings are assembled into the Coupling Block in two different configurations. The 90 degree Coupling Block will align the Hose at a 90 degree angle to the vertical of the Gun Block and is appropriate where the Gun is suspended from an overhead position.

Operating Manual General Description As you can see in this blown-up cross-sectional view of the Rod and Throat, the dimension of the hole in the Throat through which the Rod must pass is less than the normal outside diameter of the Rod, thereby creating an "interference" fit with the Rod. The Rod's construction plays an important role in how this works.

Identification numbers, which can be found on all Impingers, are provided to avoid mismatching. While Impingers have not been engineered to meet the needs of every conceivable system or application, they will be made available as demand warrants.
  • Page 13: Automatic Gun Handle

Automatic Gun Handle The Automatic Gun Handle has been designed for use with Gusmer's TX-50 Microprocessor, an Automatic Timer, or Stroke Counter/Encoder Unit. It is necessary when precise control of the amount of material dispensed is required. The advantage of this system is the rapid valving action, which is attained with the Automatic Handle plus the convenience of integrating the components into a lightweight compact unit.
  • Page 14 Valving Rod moves forward to the closed position. The electric power to operate the solenoid valve is supplied from the Gusmer TX-50 Microprocessor Automatic Timer or Volume Counter. The Gun Switch serves two distinct purposes. When used in conjunction with the Gusmer TX-50 Automatic Timer selection, the Gun Switch signals the Timer to start.

Operating Manual Extensive Maintenance Procedure there is a continuous supply of both materials and each is at a pressure greater than the materials in the mixing chamber area. Then this lower pressure material in the mixing chamber area can only go out the front of the Gun. By contrast, however, a momentary interruption of flow of one material will allow the material in the chamber area to flow back toward the Proportioner through the Impinger Slots.

(AR Pour Gun Differences) ENERAL There are two Gusmer Model AR Pour Guns; the AR-C or .250"(.635cm) Gun and the AR-D or .375" (.953cm) Gun. The operational principle and the majority of their component parts are identical to one another. The significant difference between the two Guns is the size of the through hole in the centerline Mixing Chamber components and the size of the Piston in the Air Cylinder Assembly.
