■ General
Problem
This unit fails to turn on
STANDBY/ON
when is
pressed.
A "humming" sound can be
heard.
This unit does not operate
properly.

■ Resetting the system

Use this feature to set this unit to the initial factory
settings. This unit also clears all preset stations and
services.
Press and hold FUNCTION/FM MODE on the
front panel for more than 5 seconds.
"Factory reset..." appears in the front panel display and
then this unit is set to the standby mode automatically.
Cause
The power cord is not connected or the plug
is not completely inserted.
This unit has been exposed to a strong
external electric shock (such as lightning or
strong static electricity).
Incorrect cable connections.
The internal microcomputer has been
frozen by an external electric shock (such
as lightning or excessive static electricity)
or by a power supply with low voltage.
Remedy
Connect the power cord firmly.
Disconnect the power cord, plug it back in
after 30 seconds, then use it normally.
Firmly connect the audio connection cord
plugs. If the problem persists, the cables
may be defective.
Disconnect the AC power cord from the
outlet and then plug it in again after about
30 seconds.
