Before playing your PSR-5700 for the first time, it might be a good idea to re-
initialize it to the original factory settings just in case these have been changed at
some point before you receive the instrument. To do this, press the [FUNCTION]
button a few times until "F6" appears on the LED display (this is the UTILITY
mode). Now press the [t] button (HARMONY TYPE) to the right of the LCD panel
a few times until the following display appears:

Selecting & Playing Voices
Press the [POWER] button to turn the power ON, and set all seven VOL-
UME controls about three-quarters of the way toward their MAX settings.
You can set the [MASTER] VOLUME control for the most comfortable
overall volume level after beginning to play.

Press both the right [-] and [+] buttons under "-Execute-" on
the display simultaneously. "Busy!" will appear while the ini-
tialization is taking place, and "Completed" will appear when the
initialization is complete. Finally, press the [EXIT] button to
return to the normal play mode.
No sound will be produced if all volume controls other than the MASTER control
are set to their minimum positions.
