    preCAutions 3.1. Laser Handling precautions WArninG: Never look directly into the end of a fiber that may be carrying laser light. Laser light can be invisible and can damage your eyes. Viewing it directly does not cause pain. The iris of the eye will not close involuntarily as when viewing a bright light. consequently, serious damage to the retina of the eye is possible.

    3.5. Lifting precautions CAution: The Optical Splice Enclosure weighs over 50 pounds. Two people are required to move or lift it into position. mountinG The enclosure ships with the mounting brackets attached in the location shown to mount the enclosure: • on the wall, • onto T-slot rails • or into a 23-inch utility rack with frontal projection.

    • ose-CbL-34 through -39: Liquid-tight cord connectors for most cable types. Includes central member strain-relief capability. • ose-A288-sCr-36 or -38: Liquid- tight cord connectors for cut cable applications and split grommet for mid- span applications. Includes one breakout TPA-4084 tray.
  • Page 5 • If you are installing cable with multiple buffer tubes that will be looped in the enclosure, use a mid- span access kit (p/n OSE-A288-MSPN-KIT, purchased separately) to access the fiber in one buffer tube without disturbing the other buffer tubes.
