Appropriate use The WSD-2 HD is a high-definition 2 channel audio and video decoder with recording ca- pability. It is able to receive audio and video streams via an Ethernet network (unicast or multicast), decode them and output them via its HDMI interfaces (up to 1080p). -

Data transfer and video cables must not be connected or dis- connected during a storm. Ø Connect both modules of the WSD-2 HD to the network. Ø Connect the WSD-2 HD to the power supply. Both modules start at the same time. -

Before you establish a connection, first ensure that the configuration PC and the modules of the WSD-2 HD are in the same LAN. The WSD-2 HD and PC or laptop can also be connected direct using a cross cable. Ø First start the browser. - Page 17 WSD-2 HD Fig. 6-1: DCM-1 module login page Ø Enter the password. Ø Confirm the password by clicking on OK. NOTE If the modules have not yet been configured, use the default password set at the factory (3). To protect the modules from unauthorized access, you must change the default password.

WSD-2 HD Ø Select the Player tab. Ø Set which data should be integrated and displayed (activate checkbox). Ø Set the Transparency level for the displayed text (0 = not transparent). Ø Control the displayed image. Ø Confirm with OK. -

The white rectangle (with the blue corner) symbolizes the screen area in which the field contact data are displayed. -

WSD-2 HD Fig. 7-12 If you click on the blue corner (bottom right), you can change the size of the display area by pressing and holding the mouse button. The Width and the Height of the display area is displayed in pixels on the left-hand side of the dialogue. -

WSD-2 HD Network settings General settings The basic network settings are made in the Network settings dialogue. NOTE After the network settings have been changed, the connection to the DCM-1 is broken. You then have to log in again. Ø Select Common settings > Network .. -

WSD-2 HD Recording settings Decoder If the module is equipped with hard disk drives it can be configured for local recording of the output audio and video signal in addition to it’s decoding and displaying. NOTE Evaluation of the local recordings is possible with SeMSy ®... -

WSD-2 HD NOTE In standard configuration one track on all available HDDs is defined. An existing allocation of a track to a hard disk drive always can be deleted and redefined. But in this case all recordings will be lost. -

WSD-2 HD Ø Click on Delete. Ø Confirm the safety dialogue. All recordings and the track’s definition will be deleted irretrievably. The corresponding HDD can be reallocated afterward. 9.3.3 Deleting recordings All recordings of a track can be deleted without changing the allocation. - Page 34 WSD-2 HD record start If the checkbox for record start is activated, a marker is recorded at every recording start regardless of other settings. fieldcontact „ The module can be made to write external data to the track“ by an external program or device (using the DaVid protocol).

WSD-2 HD 10.2.1 Individual module To restore the configuration of an individual module, first establish a connection to this module. This activation procedure is carried out in the HDD management configuration dialogue. To use this function, a so-called Day Password must be entered for security purposes. You can obtain this from the Dallmeier Support Team by quoting the serial number of the module. Fig. 13-1 Proceed as follows to activate the new hard disk: Ø Log on to the module using a browser. -
