Safety Regulations

Safety was our top priority throughout the entire development process of the bonavi pushchair.
Therefore, bonavi meets the highest safety standards, tested and certified by the renowned
German testing institution TÜV SÜD. All regulations passed for Europe: EN1888-1:2018.

Maintenance Instructions

To ensure a smooth and long-lasting journey with your Bonavi stroller, we ask you to regularly
maintain and care for your stroller. Always keep in mind that your Bonavi is in daily use and
therefor natural signs of use and wear are normal.
To guarantee that your warranty is valid, the stroller must be used in accordance with our user
manual and care instructions. Please have a look at our maintenance tips below and make sure
to follow these in regular intervals:
• Clean the wheels: Periodically remove the wheels (front and rear wheels) and brush off any
dirt, stones or sand from the inner axle of the wheel. Use a brush and water, or detergent
such as WD-40, to remove dirt from the wheels. Do not submerge the wheel's bearings in
water. To maintain the smoothness of the wheels, you can also apply some Vaseline cream
to the suspensions.
• Clean the frame: The aluminium parts of the stroller are anodized to protect it from
external influences. Clean the frames with a soft dust cloth and lukewarm water only. Keep
in mind that anodized aluminium parts are vulnerable to acid cleaners or grease, which
can cause stains and discoloration of the aluminium parts.
• Lubricate joints and wheels: To ensure a smooth ride and ease of use, please lubricate the
wheels and joints at regular intervals. Use commercially available Vaseline or automotive
lubricant, such as WD-40, preferably silicone based.
• Clean and maintain fabrics: All fabrics can be hand washed at 30 degrees and leave to dry.
Never use bleach or other chemical detergents. The outer fabrics (e.g. the canopies) can be
cleaned with a cloth. Do not to leave the pram standing in the blazing sun when the sun is
shining. The increased sunlight may cause the fabrics to fade.
• Mattress: The mattress cover can be hand washed at 30 degrees. The foam rubber
material of the mattress can be cleaned with a damp cloth. After cleaning, make sure that
all mattress parts are dry and returned to their original position.
• Push handle: Use a soft sponge and lukewarm water to gently rub off any dirt on the push
handle and front bumper. Wipe clean any soap residue left with a dry cloth.
• Rain cover: Always use the rain cover when it rains, otherwise water stains may appear on
the outer fabrics. Only clean the rain cover with a damp cloth. Make sure that the rain
cover is sufficiently dried after use before it is stowed away again.
• Storage: Store your Bonavi and its accessories in a dry place and leave them unfolded
when wet to prevent mould.
• Moving parts: Regularly check if all parts are still firmly attached.
• Special care during the winter months: Road salt can cause increased corrosion of the
frame and brake. Please clean your pram thoroughly with water and dry it afterwards,
especially during the cold months.
If you need to purchase additional spare parts you can do so directly from our web shop
www.bonavi.de or get in touch with our customer service directly.
