REPLACING THE FILTER MEDIA: We recommend that filter pads be replaced yearly or when pads show signs of wear and tear. - Page 9 MAINTAINING YOUR SIMPLYCLEAR FILTER: ™ REPLACING THE FILTER MEDIA: (CON’T) Step 2 Unhook Clamps Unhook the 4 clamps securing the filter top and remove. Step 3 Remove Media Base Separate the top from the filter canister. Next, separate the filter media base and discard worn filter media pads. Note: There are two black o-rings that need to stay on the rod.

- Page 11 MAINTAINING YOUR SIMPLYCLEAR FILTER: ™ REPLACING UV BULB & CLEANING OR REPLACING THE QUARTZ SLEEVE: (CON’T) Step 5 Remove Bulb Pull gently, straight out, on the base of the UV bulb to remove it. Step 6 Insert New Bulb Insert the new bulb taking care not to touch the bulb as the oils from your hands can cause damage.
