Driving Technique for SafeTrack

A steered trailer using SafeTrack behaves differently than a standard
trailer. In steering position, the sprayer's center of gravity is displaced
more outwardly compared to the center line of a standard trailer.
A steered trailer has a decreased stability when turning, especially when
turning on hillsides (B).
To prevent overbalancing, pay attention to these guidelines:
• Avoid sudden tight turns.
• Slow down before entering a curve or turning. Drive with a
constant, low speed during the turn.
• Never slow down too fast, never brake heavily and never stop
suddenly in a curve, or when turning on a hillside, when the
sprayer is articulated.
• Be careful when turning on uneven ground.
• Set the track width (A) as wide as possible.
• The proper function of the hydraulic system is essential to obtain good stability.
• A filled Rinsing Tank will significantly increase the stability.
DANGER! No persons are allowed in the operation area of the sprayer when steering is unlocked!
±
WARNING! Never articulate steering when the boom is in transport position.
Speed Limit
The SafeTrack is default limited to a driving speed of 11mph (18 km/h).
Driving in "Auto" with SafeTrack will trigger an overspeed alarm, and the steering will automatically be locked.
