Cooling water

8.4.1

Quality of cooling water

Distilled water causes immediate corrosion on bare parts, which is often unno-
ticeable at first, but later leads to serious corrosion damage.
Ü Do not use pure or distilled water.
Deposits in cooling channels due to unsuitable cooling water prevent the dis-
sipation of heat.
Ü Use cooling water with the following properties:
Drinking water
Hardness
PH value
Additive (corrosion protection)

Observe the following values for liquid cooling:
Hose diameter (*)
Feed temperature
Volumetric flow
Return temperature
(*) Use cooling hoses that are impermeable to UV light.
