LATITUDE™ Communicator Patient Manual Supplement
This supplement to your patient manual explains how to connect the USB Ethernet Adapter to your LATITUDE Communicator. The steps
below assume that your Communicator is already set up and connected to an electrical outlet. Your Communicator must be placed near an
Ethernet (Internet) connection in order to use the USB Ethernet Adapter.
1. Insert the narrow end of the USB cable (included with the USB Ethernet Adapter) into one of the USB ports on the Communicator labeled
, as shown below.
2. Insert the square end of the USB cable into the end of the USB Ethernet Adapter nearest the adapter light.
3. Insert the Ethernet cable (included with the USB Ethernet Adapter) into the opposite end of the adapter.
4. Plug the Ethernet cable into an Ethernet port for your Internet service, such as a modem, router, or Ethernet wall jack. Confirm that the
USB Ethernet Adapter is properly connected by verifying the green light on its front is lit (solid or flashing).
• Important: Your Communicator should remain connected to the electrical outlet and your Internet service.
5. Refer to your patient manual for additional instructions.
6. To return or dispose of the USB Ethernet Adapter, follow the same instructions in your patient manual as for the Communicator.
