If measurement error exceeds maxi-
mum
allowable
the precision test, please contact
CROWN service centre.
Factors, influencing appliance precision:
Ambient temperature, e�g�, temperature
difference which may take place with distance
from the ground� Temperature difference is most
considerable near ground surface, therefore it
is recommended to use the tripod for measure-
ments in areas with length exceeding 20 m�
Contamination of the laser emitter window�
Always check protective windows for contami-
nations before use and clean them if necessary�
Measurement through transparent surfac-
es (windows, aquariums, etc�)� It is not recom-
mended to carry out such measurement�
Measurements on reflective surfaces (mir-
rors, polished metal surfaces, etc�)� It is not
recommended to carry out such measurement�
Presence of steam, dust, smoke, etc� in the
air� It is not recommended to carry out such
measurement�
Fall of the appliance or a heavy shock�
In this case it is recommended to perform a
precision test� If maximum allowable variance
is exceeded, please contact CROWN service
centre�
General recommendation (see fig. 6, 3)
Before starting work ensure that all measure-
ments will be carried out under suitable condi-
tions (see section "Factors, influencing appliance
precision")�
Place the appliance correctly (indicator 1
should be lit green)� If necessary, adjust the appli-
ance position with swivel holder of spring clamp 5�
Turn on the appliance as described above� If
you turn on the appliance with a laser head self-lev-
elling on, but indicator 1 lit red and the laser beams
blink, you have to re-position the appliance, other-
wise the measurement results will be incorrect�
You can mark inclined lines when the laser
head self-levelling is off (see fig. 6). Attention!
Do not mark horizontal and vertical beams in
this mode - their position is incorrect.
The manufacturer reserves the possibility to introduce changes.

After finishing work turn off the appliance as
described above (lock 4 shall be in the position
as shown in fig. 3.2 and laser beams must be
off)�
It is recommended to put the appliance for
long-term storage and transportation into bag 6�
Ensure that there are no moisture drops on the
appliance elements (if necessary, wipe with a soft
cloth), after that put the appliance into bag 6�
Maintenance / preventive measures
Cleaning the appliance
Keep the appliance clean� Do not use caustic
substances or solvents�
Emitter windows shall be cleaned with a soft
cloth� Do not use sharp objects or corrosive agents
for this purpose�

Transportation
Categorically not to drop any mechanical im-
pact on the packaging during transport�
When unloading / loading is not allowed to use
any kind of technology that works on the principle
of clamping packaging�
Environmental protection
Recycle raw materials instead of
disposing as waste.
Appliance, accessories and packag-
ing should be sorted for environment-
friendly recycling�
The plastic components are labelled for catego-
rized recycling�
These instructions are printed on recycled paper
manufactured without chlorine�
