ATTACHMENT LIFT
ADJUSTMENT
Due to different weight of attachments,' the
~ttachment
lift spring on tractors with the
manual lift systems may require adjustment.
The adjustment bolt is located on rear, top
left side of tractor and determines the
"tension" of the spring. See Fig. 11.
A.
Hold the spring bushing with a wrench and
loosen the jam nut.
B. For heavier attachments, turn the adjust ­
ment bolt clockwise (If) to extend spring,
reducing lift effort.
C. For lighter attachments, turn the
adjustment bolt counter clockwise (0).
D. After the desired spring tension is reached,
retighten the jam nut against the spring
bushing.
NOTE: DO NOT ADJUST THE LIFT SPRING
FOR MAXIMUM TENSION WHEN USING
LI GHT ATTACH MENTS SUCH AS A MOWER.

DON'T "OVER POWER"

For smooth operation, and to prevent rust,
apply a light coat of grease to threads, pivot
points and the inside of hitch tube.
