    Guide Learn how to use various features of the TV. Connections Connect an antenna cable to the TV to watch broadcasts and use a LAN cable or a wireless router to access the internet on your TV. You can also use the various ports that come with the product to connect a wide variety of external devices to the TV.

    Antenna Connection Connect an antenna cable to the TV. An antenna connection is not required if using the TV with a cable receiver/set-top box combination or a satellite receiver/ set-top box combination. If using a ground-wave antenna, connect the antenna cable to the Ground-Wave UHD or Ground Wave/Cable port. If using a cable antenna, connect the antenna cable to the Ground Wave/Cable port.
  • Page 7 Connecting to a Wired Network Settings General Network Open Network Settings Wired Plug in a LAN cable, and the TV automatically connects to the network. If network connection is not established automatically, see the “Network” section of Troubleshooting. Use a CAT 7 (*STP type) cable. *STP: Shielded Twisted Pair The TV is unable to connect to networks with a speed below 10Mbps.

If the wireless router you wish to connect to does not appear on the list, select Add Network at the end of the list and enter the network name (SSID) manually.
  • Page 9 Turning this feature on may allow other IP control devices to control your TV. We recommend turning this feature on only if an authorized third-party custom controller is installed and configured specifically for a Samsung TV and if your Wi-Fi network is password protected.

    External Device Connection Cables These are descriptions on connection cables used to connect external devices to the TV. Connection Cable Image Description Transmits digital video and audio signals from the external device simultaneously via the TV’s HDMI port. HDMI The cables come in a wide variety, depending on the types of the input and output ports used on the external device.
  • Page 11 Connection Cable Image Description DVI to HDMI cables may transmit digital video signals only and not audio signals. Accordingly, the use of an HDMI to HDMI cable is HDMI recommended. This type of cable is used to transmit audio signals to external speakers with minimal loss.

    Depending on the HDMI version, Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) may not function. If this happens, check the HDMI version and try replacing the HDMI cable.     Before Connecting a Computer (Supported Resolutions) These are the supported resolutions for input signals from a computer. Connect the computer to the TV and then configure the resolution setting according to the table below. The optimal resolution are 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz (TU7 series) and 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz (T5 series or lower).
