Using the dehumidifier feature
Note: You can't change the fan speed in the Dry operating mode.
You can use your air conditioner as a dehumidifier to remove moisture from the air.
1 If the exhaust hose is installed, remove it.
2 Make sure that all windows and doors are closed.
3 Set your air conditioner to the Dry operating mode. See Selecting the operating mode on page 22.
4 Remove the upper drain plug, then connect a 3/4 in. hose (not included) to the drain hole.
5 Place the other end of the hose into a drain or other type of container for the water to drain into.
6 Turn your air conditioner on.

Safety guidelines
• Always unplug your air conditioner before cleaning or servicing.
• DO NOT use flammable liquids or chemicals to clean your air conditioner.
• DO NOT wash your air conditioner under running water. Doing so causes electrical danger.
• DO NOT run your air conditioner if the power supply is damaged during cleaning. You must replace a damaged power
cord.
Cleaning the exterior
1 Clean the exterior with a damp, lint-free cloth and mild detergent, then rinse with a damp cloth.
2 Dry your air conditioner with a lint-free cloth.
