During work, pieces of burnt wood may stick to the burning tip. For cleaning
the tip during work it is advisable to use a cleaner for soldering tips. Such a
cleaner is available from
Shutting Down the Unit
Place the burning iron on the included stand as shown below.
Turn off the burning station at the ON/OFF switch (1).
Allow the unit to fully cool down before storing.
To prevent damage to the burning tip do not use the burning station longer
then 15 - 20 minutes in the 650 - 750 °C settings.
Changing the Burning Tip
Loosen the two retaining screws of the burning tip and pull the tip off. Attach
the new burning tip and lightly tighten the retaining screws.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Always pull the power plug before cleaning and allow the unit to cool down
completely!
Use only a brush or a slightly moistened cloth for cleaning the unit. Allow
the unit to dry completely before the next use.
Do not use abrasives or aggressive chemicals or similar cleaning agents.
