Clear snow when it is loose, freshly
fallen, as the layer of snow can turn to
ice later, making the work more difficult.
Do not use the machine with snow that
is very hard and frozen. The rubber
covering of the auger could be dam-
aged.
Clear the snow in the wind direction as
far as possible.
Switch the machine off and tilt it, if you
have to cross a gravel path or sensitive
surfaces.

General Cleaning and Mainte-
nance Work
Do not jet water onto the appli-

flowing water. This would result

housing and handles of the machine
clean. Use a damp cloth or a brush to
clean them.
Do not use any cleaning agent or sol-
vent. This could damage the machine
irreparably.
Clean the ejector chute and the auger
of any snow residues after each use.
Prior to every use, check the appli-
ance for obvious defects such as
loose, worn or damaged parts. Check
that all nuts, bolts and screws are sit-
ting firmly.
