Front Seat Adjustment
Forward and backw ard adjustm ent:
lift handle (1); slide seat to desired
position and allow handle to reen­
gage.
Height of seat: raise lever (2); to raise
seat, move seat forw ard; to lower seat
move seat backw ard; allow lever to
reengage.
Seat back position: turn handwheel
(3) forw ard or backw ard.
For full reclining of backrest, seat
should be moved to one of the fo r-

w ardm ost positions and headrest
rem oved. For driving, return backrest
to u p right position and push seat
back. Replace headrest.
Note:
P rior to operating the vehicle, the
d rive r should adjust the seat height
fo r p rop er vision as well as fore -aft
placem ent and seat back angle to
insure adequate control, reach,
operation, and com fort. The headrest
should also be adjusted fo r proper
height so that when the cushion is
tip p e d com pletely forw ard, it should
form a cradle behind the seat
o ccu p ant's head. Both the inside and
outside rear view m irro rs should then
be adjusted fo r adequate rearward
vision. Fasten seat belts. C hildren
under the age of six or under the
w eight of 50 lbs. (23 kg) should be
seated in the back seat with an
approved restraint system p ro p erly
secured.
All seat, headrest, and rear view
m irro r adjustm ents as well as
fastening of seat belts should be
accom plished before the vehicle is
put into m otion.
Slafety Headrest
A d ju st headrest to su p p o rt the back of
the head a tth e level of the upper end
of the ears. For height adjustm ent or
fo r rem oval, push headrest slightly
forw ard (1). To detach the headrest,
release arrester by depressing a
button located under the backrest
covering m aterial. Button can be felt.
Front seats: button below L/H
headrest post (2).
Rear seats: button on top of backrest
between both headrest posts.
