15 TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDES

The troubleshooting guide includes WDRR indications and symptoms as it is being used in conjunction with the
Limitless™
series. Refer to Section 4 for layout of LEDs, terminals, connections, etc.
input
SYMPTOM
Green power LED is not ON
Green, yellow and/or red configuration
LEDs do not blink ON at start-up
Tri-color output LEDs are momentarily
OFF then ON with possible NPN/PNP
output change during normal
operation. Resulting in only green
Power LED on and possibly incorrect
yellow and red LED indication/output
for up to 30 seconds.
Yellow tri-color output LED is flashing
Yellow tri-color output LED is
constantly ON
CAUSE
10 Vdc to 28 Vdc is not applied
to "+" & "-" terminals
Power leads connected in
reverse
WDRR internal electronics
damaged
LED(s) burnt out
ESD/EMI exposure beyond
published specifications or
device performing self check
Low battery in Limitless™
input
Incorrect battery installed in
Limitless™ input
Dead or low battery in
Limitless™ input
Incorrect battery installed in
Limitless™ input
RF range/distance between
WDRR and Limitless™ input is
beyond capability
Exposure to adjacent
materials/objects and/or
materials/objects
Damage or missing antenna
from WDRR and/or Limitless™
input
Antenna alignment is not
acceptable
Damage to antenna cable
Loose antenna or cable
connections
Issue 1,
RESOLUTION
Check for proper connection and 10 Vdc to 28
Vdc to "+" and "-" terminals per Section 6.3
Check for proper connection of power: "+" and
"-" terminals per Section 6.3
Replace WDRR
Check LED operation per Section 6.2 and replace
WDRR if necessary
Determine source for ESD/EMI emissions in
application and take action to remove
• Determine which Limitless™ input has a low
battery using the procedure in Section 6.5
• Replace Limitless™ switch battery per
Limitless™ input Installation guide
• Determine which Limitless™ input has a low
battery using the procedure in Section 6.5
• Replace Limitless™ switch battery per
Limitless™ input Installation guide
• Determine which Limitless™ input has a low
battery using the procedure in Section 6.5
• Limitless™ input status will in this case be
reported as lost RF
• Replace Limitless™ input battery per
Limitless™ input installation guide
• Determine which Limitless™ input has a low
battery using the procedure in Section 6.5
• Limitless™ input status will in this case be
reported as lost RF
• Replace Limitless™ input battery per
Limitless™ input installation guide
Reposition Limitless™ input closer to the WDRR
until yellow LED is no longer ON
Reposition Limitless™ input away from objects
until yellow LED is no longer ON
Replace antenna per Section 8.3
Reposition antenna per Section 8.3
Replace antenna cable per Section 8.3
Check connections and tighten as necessary per
Section 8.3
