To open the freezer, rotate handle towards the user approximately 90°. To engage the Power-Release, apply firm downward pressure on the handle while in its open position. The Power-Release assists when the freezer door is adhered to the gasket after long periods of non-use as well as when air pressure is not yet equalized.

This ultra-low temperature freezer is intended for storage of frozen sample product or vials at deep temperatures. Stirling Ultracold, a Division of Global Cooling, Inc. cannot be held responsible for damages or loss of stored product attributed to unintended use.

    The SU780XLE Ultra-Low Temperature Freezer uses the Stirling Ultracold Model M600 free-piston Stirling engine to provide high efficiency, deep-temperature cooling. No HCFC or CFC refrigerants are used in the M600 and SU780XLE. The M600 Stirling engine uses approximately 10 grams of helium gas as a working fluid. Approximately 90 grams of R-170 (Ethane) is used in the thermosiphon which removes heat from the freezer.
