This product is made to handle extreme riding conditions. Please take note of the information and
instructions below to get the most out of your Tusk Product.

Assembly: Before you throw any packaging away, make sure you received all the necessary hardware.

Installation steps:

1. Choose a location to place the hour meter where the pick-up wire will reach to the ignition
coil wire. Make sure there is at least 6 inches extra to wrap the pick-up wire around the
ignition coil wire. DO NOT MOUNT THE METER WHERE THE SURFACE EXCEEDS 125
2. Loop the pick-up wire through the two holes on the hour meter (see figure 1).
3. If you choose to mount the hour meter with the screws, use a 7/64" drill bit to drill the holes
(see figure 2). DO NOT DRILL INTO GAS TANK, FRAME, or ENGINE CASE. *mounting bracket
sold separately*
4. Starting from the hour meter (after it is mounted), secure the wire with zip ties down to the
ignition coil to ensure it does not get pinched or caught on moving parts while the machine is
in operation.
5. Wrap the pick-up wire around the ignition coil wire 5-10 times and secure it with a zip tie (see
figure 3). If your engine has a pencil/stick type ignition coil, wrap the pick-up wire around the
dust boot of the coil where it is secured to the spark plug (see figure 4). Test the installation
by starting the engine and checking the hour meter display. The hourglass icon on the display
will be blinking if installed correctly.
