This instruction is written as a guideline for
using EKC programming tool for programming
factory settings.
For overview, see last page of instructions.
The instruction assumes that all hardware and
software are correctly installed.

Via AKA 243A
This applies to programming through AKA 243A
Establish connection to gateway, AKA 243A, following this
procedure (only to be done once after installing AKM):
1. Start software programme, AKM
2. Choose 'Setup' in the 'AKA' menu in the main screen
3. Press the 'Router...' button and enter '000:125' as
system address
4. Return to the main screen
5. Choose 'Upload' in the 'Configuration' menu
6. Enter '000' as 'Network', tick the 'Net configuration'
option and press the 'OK' button
7. After a few seconds the gateway, AKA 243A appears.
8. Press 'OK' to save the uploaded network configura-
tion
9. Return to the main screen
10. Exit AKM
Create the setting file following this procedure:
1. Manually configure an EKC of the type (same
ordering number and same software version), the
setting file is to be used with
2. Connect the EKC to the gateway, AKA 243A (special
EEPROM's for use with EKC programmer)
3. Start software programme, AKM
4. Choose 'Upload' in the 'Configuration' menu
5. Enter '000' as 'Network', tick the 'Net configuration'
and the 'AKC description' options and press the 'OK'
button
6. After a few seconds the gateway, AKA 243A, and the
EKC appear
7. Press 'OK' to save the uploaded network configuration
8. Press 'Close' to return to the main menu (may last a
few seconds before this is possible)
9. Choose 'Copy Settings...' in the 'AKC' menu
