N3G002W / N3G005W / N3G007W Firmware Upgrade Instructions
Purpose:
This document describes the steps necessary to perform a firmware
upgrade on the N3G002W / N3G005W / N3G007W with the latest
firmware (available on the NetComm website).
To ensure a successful firmware upgrade please follow the below
instructions.
Firmware files location:
To download the latest firmware of N3G002W / N3G005W /
N3G007W, please click on the below link:
For N3G002W:
http://www.netcomm.com.au/sm/firmware/n3g002w
For N3G005W:
http://www.netcomm.com.au/sm/firmware/n3g005w
For N3G007W:
http://www.netcomm.com.au/sm/firmware/n3g007w
Click on to the firmware file (.exe or .BIN) and save it on your local PC.
Warning:
Please ensure that your 3G USB Modem is not attached to N3G002W / N3G005W/
N3G007W during the upgrade process as this may damage the N3G002W/ N3G005W/
N3G007W and void your warranty.
For Upgrading with the .executable file
Upgrade Steps:
1) For user using the exe file to upgrade the firmware:
2) Power on the N3G002W / N3G005W / N3G007W with the supplied power adapter.
3) Wait approximately 2 minutes for the device to finish starting up.
4) Plug in one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the N3G002W / N3G005W /
N3G007W.
5) Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN port of your computer.
6) Please wait approximately 20 seconds.

- Page 4 10. Press the Browse button to select a firmware file to upgrade with and press Upgrade button. 11. Please note that it takes approximately 3 minutes for the N3G002W / N3G005W / N3G007W to upgrade. DO NOT turn off your N3G002W / N3G005W / N3G007W during the firmware upgrade process.
