  • Page 35 Electric shock or fire when using unsuitable residual current protective devices In the case of a fault, a SINAMICS DCP can cause DC current to flow in the protective conductor (PE). In the case of a fault, this DC current can prevent fault current protective devices from tripping, which results in an electric shock or fire.

  • Page 39 Electrical connection 5.1 EMC-compliant installation SINAMICS DCP devices satisfy the requirements for interference emission and interference immunity defined in EN 61800-3 for the second environment (Category C3) and those in the generic standards EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4. NOTICE Using the DCP in a residential environment In a residential environment, this product can cause radio-frequency interference, which may make interference suppression measures necessary.
